UltraShield EX Insecticide & Repellent is Absorbine's advanced fly spray for horses, providing long-lasting control against flies, mosquitoes, ticks, gnats, and other nuisance pests. The ready-to-use, water-based formula kills and repels more than 70 species and can be used on horses, ponies, foals over 12 weeks of age, donkeys, mules, and dogs over 12 weeks of age. It can also be used as a premise spray around barns, stalls, pet areas, doorways, patios, trash bins, and other areas where insects congregate.

The weatherproof formula provides protection for up to 17 days on horses under suitable conditions and contains sunscreens, aloe, and lanolin to help condition the coat. UltraShield EX is ready to use with no mixing required and can be applied as a spray or wipe-on treatment.

Directions for Horses, Ponies & Foals Over 12 Weeks:

• Shake well before use and hold container upright.
• Brush the animal to remove excess dirt and dust before application.
• Apply as a spray or wipe-on treatment. When applying to the face, use a soft cloth.
• Spray or wipe the entire body while brushing against the lay of the coat to provide adequate coverage.
• For best penetration, direct the spray against the natural lay of the hair.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Do not wet the skin or apply to the point of dripping.
• Do not exceed 2 oz. per application.
• For initial applications under normal conditions, reapply every 7 to 10 days.
• As protection builds, reapply every 12 to 17 days as needed.
• Reapply after the animal is washed or exposed to heavy rain for best results.
• After application, brush thoroughly to bring out a bright sheen on the coat.

Directions for Dogs & Puppies Over 12 Weeks:

• Cover the animal's eyes with your hands before spraying.
• Using a firm stroke to produce a proper spray mist, spray the head, ears, and chest until damp.
• Use a soft cloth to apply the product around the face, mouth, nose, and eyes.
• Spray the neck, middle and hind quarters, finishing with the legs.
• For best penetration, direct the spray against the natural lay of the hair.
• For long-haired dogs, rub against the lay of the hair and spray the ruffled hair directly behind the hand.
• Make sure the spray thoroughly wets ticks.
• During flea season, retreat every 3 to 4 weeks if necessary.
• Provides up to 28 days of protection from flea, tick, and lice reinfestation on dogs.

Dog Sleeping Quarters:

• • Spray around baseboards, windows, door frames, wall cracks, and localized floor areas.
  • Spray pet bedding areas.
  • Spray old bedding or replace it with fresh bedding.

Premise Spray Directions:

Use as a premise spray to kill insects on contact and help repel insects from treated areas. Spray in areas where insects congregate. Apply at a rate of 32 oz. per 250 sq. ft. Directly spray insects for rapid knockdown and kill. Spray around door facings and screens to help make treated areas unattractive to insects and discourage their entrance into buildings.

Premise pests include: Carpenter bees; American, Asian, Australian, brown-banded, German, Oriental, and smokey brown cockroaches; black widow and cellar spiders; fire ants; carpenter ants; Pharaoh ants; foraging ants; grain mites; clover mites; beetles including carpet, flat grain, flour, cigarette, confused flour, drugstore, lesser grain borer, merchant grain, sawtoothed grain, warehouse, red flour, and ground elm leaf beetles; rice weevils; palmetto bugs; water bugs; cadelles; Indian meal worms; sowbugs; boxelder bugs; earwigs; pillbugs; firebrats; silverfish; clothes moths; booklice; centipedes; millipedes; crickets; scorpions; and flying moths including almond, chocolate, tobacco, Indian meal, Angoumois grain, and other flying moths.

Cautions/Warnings:

For use only as directed on the label. Do not use on foals or puppies under 12 weeks of age. Do not allow product to contact the eyes, nose, or mouth. Do not apply to the point of dripping or exceed 2 oz. per application on horses. Sensitivities may occur after using any pesticide product on pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe the pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, or nursing animals or animals receiving medication.
