The Lone Star Thunderbird Team Rope is engineered for balance, feel, and consistency. Built with a 4-strand nylon/poly blend and a multi-directional, double-twisted core, this rope is designed so the center core counterbalances the rope as a whole. Developed in collaboration with NFR legend Patrick Smith, the Thunderbird line offers an exceptionally even weight and dependable performance in all weather conditions.

Available in both head and heel options, each rope delivers outstanding handling. The 32' head rope provides smooth control and adaptability, while the 36' heel rope offers excellent tip feel and a strong bite on the horn for confident catches.

Head Rope – 32'
The Thunderbird Head Rope features a slightly lighter, more flexible design for fast swing speed, quick delivery, and high accuracy on head catches. Its balanced body and even weight make it easy to handle, while the rope’s responsive feel helps headers stay precise from the start to the finish of their run.

Heel Rope – 36'
The Thunderbird Heel Rope is built with a heavier body and a stiffer lay, creating a larger, more stable loop that stays open for deep-reaching heel shots. It offers excellent tip weight, strong “bite” on the horn, and a solid, controlled feel—ideal for heelers who need structure and power when catching both hind feet.
