Rx Advantage Multi for Cats
Advantage Multi® for Cats is a convenient, broad-spectrum heartworm preventive in a monthly topical application. It is also indicated to kill adult fleas and treat flea infestations, as well as to treat and control roundworm infections caused by Toxocara cati, hookworm infections caused by Ancylostoma tubaeforme, and ear mite infestations caused by Otodectes cynotis. Advantage Multi for Cats is for use on cats and kittens at least 9 weeks of age and weighing at least 2 lbs. Advantage Multi® for Cats (orange label) can also be used on ferrets that weigh at least 2 lbs.
Key Benefits:
- 100% effective in the prevention of heartworm disease as shown in clinical trials
- Flea-killing power of imidacloprid, the same active ingredient as in Advantage® Topical Solution
- Treatment and control of roundworms and hookworms as early as L4 stage, while most dewormers purge only adult-stage intestinal parasites
- Treats ear mites with a single dose. Monthly use will control subsequent infestations.
- Topical drops are less stressful for pet owners than giving their cat a pill or tablet
- The only FDA-approved product indicated for ferrets (2 lbs and up) for the treatment of fleas and prevention of heartworm disease
Directions:
Apply topically once monthly according to your cat’s weight. Part the hair at the base of the neck and apply the full contents directly to the skin. Avoid contact with the eyes or mouth and prevent licking of the application site for 30 minutes.
For best results, administer year-round or begin one month prior to mosquito exposure and continue monthly until one month after exposure ends. If a dose is missed, apply immediately and resume the regular monthly schedule.
