Newcastle Disease Vaccine

Newcastle Disease Vaccine contains the LaSota strain of live virus and is recommended for the vaccination of healthy chickens 2 weeks of age and older. It helps protect against Newcastle disease, a highly contagious viral infection that affects the respiratory, nervous, and digestive systems of poultry. This vaccine can be administered through drinking water for initial vaccination or by coarse spray for revaccination. Proper preparation and administration are essential to help ensure each bird receives the intended dose.

Benefits:

  • Helps protect against Newcastle disease, a highly contagious viral disease affecting poultry
  • Supports respiratory, nervous, and digestive health by helping reduce the impact of Newcastle disease
  • Suitable for young chickens 2 weeks of age and older
  • Flexible administration options through drinking water or coarse spray
  • Useful for initial vaccination and revaccination according to the product directions
  • Large 5,000-dose vial is convenient for flock vaccination
  • Live LaSota strain vaccine designed for use in healthy chickens

Directions:

Drinking Water Administration:

Recommended for initial vaccination of healthy chickens 2 weeks of age and older.

  1. Discontinue medications and sanitizing agents in drinking water 24 hours before vaccination and for 24 hours afterward.
  2. Use clean, cool, non-chlorinated water. Do not use disinfectants to clean waterers.
  3. Provide enough waterers for two-thirds of the birds to drink at one time. Turn off automatic waterers and do not use medication tanks.
  4. Withhold water for 2 hours before vaccination, unless temperatures are extremely high.
  5. Remove the vial seal, remove the stopper, and half-fill the vial with clean, cool, non-chlorinated water. Replace the stopper and shake until dissolved.
  6. Prepare the vaccine solution using the appropriate amount of dried skim milk and water for the number and age of birds being vaccinated, following the preparation charts on the product label.
  7. Add the rehydrated vaccine to the prepared water and mix thoroughly.
  8. Administer one dose per bird. Distribute the vaccine water evenly among clean waterers, keep them out of direct sunlight, and resume regular water access after all vaccine water has been consumed.

Stir until the dried milk is dissolved. Add the rehydrated vaccine and mix thoroughly.

Recommended for revaccination of healthy chickens 4 weeks of age or older using a sprayer that delivers a coarse, even spray.

  1. Remove the vial seal and stopper. Half-fill the vial with cool, distilled water, replace the stopper, and shake until dissolved.
  2. Transfer the rehydrated vaccine to a clean container and add cool, distilled water according to the chart below. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Apply 100 mL of rehydrated vaccine per 1,000 doses, ensuring one dose per bird.
  4. Place the vaccine solution in the sprayer, set the discharge control to low, and spray above the birds' heads at approximately 1,000 birds per minute.
  5. Close the poultry house and shut off mechanical ventilation before spraying. Maintain these conditions during application and for 20 minutes afterward.
  6. Wear goggles and a face mask while spraying. Use a sprayer dedicated to live virus vaccine application.
