Help soothe, protect, and shield your horse's irritated skin with Jeffers Scratches-Away™ Zinc Oxide Paste. This thick, long-lasting formula contains 30% zinc oxide to help protect skin affected by pastern dermatitis, scratches, greasy heel, mud fever, dew poisoning, rain rot irritation, sunburn, and minor skin abrasions.

Scratches-Away creates a moisture-resistant barrier that helps protect sensitive skin from mud, moisture, and other environmental irritants. Its thick consistency stays where it is applied, making it ideal for problem areas such as the pasterns, heels, and fetlocks. Use it as part of your horse's regular skin-care routine, particularly during wet, muddy, or humid conditions.

Active Ingredients:

• Zinc Oxide: 30%
• Chlorhexidine Gluconate: 0.1%
• N-Trichloromethylthio-4-Cyclohexene-1,2-Dicarboximide: 0.000625%

Inactive Ingredients:

Deionized water, mineral oil, petrolatum, cetearyl alcohol & cetearyth, glycerine, Colalipid ST, lavender essential oil, and FD&C Blue.

Directions:

Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly before application. Apply a generous layer directly to the affected skin, ensuring complete coverage. Apply 1–3 times daily or as needed to maintain a protective barrier. Reapply after washing, heavy rainfall, or prolonged exposure to wet conditions. Continue use until the skin appears healthy and the condition has improved.

Cautions & Warnings:

For external use on horses only. Not for human use. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to deep wounds or serious burns. Keep out of reach of children. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days or worsen, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.
