Why use Seresto® collars?

Seresto collars are a safe, effective alternative to topical preventatives.

• No monthly application needed.

• Bayer Polymer Matrix slowly and continuously releases the active ingredients, imidacloprid and flumethrin, in low concentrations to kill fleas and kill and repel ticks for eight months.

• Water resistant and easy to use with no mess or odor.

• Cat and small dog collars are equipped with a safety-release mechanism to ensure your pet won't get stuck while wearing the collar.

How does Seresto® work?

Two active ingredients provide dual action against fleas and ticks.

• Imidacloprid controls fleas and flea infestations.

• Flumethrin repels and kills ticks, and kills larvae and nymphs.

• The active ingredients spread from the site of direct contact.

Seresto uses sustained release technology to work for eight months.

• Bayer's polymer matrix technology sets Seresto apart from other collars in duration and effectiveness.

• As active ingredients wear off, a new supply is replenished in low concentrations.

Seresto collars are water resistant.

• Seresto's active ingredients are contained within the Bayer Polymer Matrix.

• It is unnecessary to remove the collar for swimming, bathing or other water activities.

• Seresto remains effective even after shampoo treatments, or exposure to rain or sunlight.

How are Seresto® collars applied?

Remove the collar from its protective packaging immediately before use. Unroll the collar and ensure no remnants from the plastic connectors remain inside to the collar.

1. Insert the end of the collar through the buckle.

2. Adjust the collar so that it's not too tight around the dog or cat's neck. It should be possible to fit two fingers between the collar and the neck.

3. Pull excess collar through the loops and cut away any excess length 1 inch past the loops.

4. Attach optional reflector clips if desired.

How to apply Seresto collars

Observe your cat or dog carefully for the first few days after applying the collar. Slight itching might be observed in pets that are not used to wearing a collar. Ensure the collar is not too tight.
