Professional groomers and veterinarians rely on the Pet Hair Puller to gently remove hair from dogs' ear canals. Dogs that naturally grow profuse facial hair are especially prone to ear infections brought on by the moisture heavy hair growth holds in the ears. This creates the perfect warm, moist environment that produces bacterial ear infections. A few examples of these breeds are: Airedale Terrier, Schnauzer, Kerry Blue Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Bichon Frise, Poodle (All varieties), Bedlington Terrier, and Portuguese Water Dog. These breeds should have the hair removed from the canal to allow air to circulate into the ear to deter bacterial growth and avoid ear infections. Constructed of stainless-steel and with a hinge that sets its own tension that stays in place until it is moved. This Hair Puller is not designed with a locking ratchet (locking mechanism).

The Pet Hair Puller is 5 1/2" in length. The nose, which is serrated and facilitates gripping, has a length of 1 5/16". It's narrow width makes it ideal to work on any breed.
