Optimally, the liquid preparation should be dropped directly on to the mucous membrane of the mouth including the lips, ideally in horses and donkeys by pulling out the labial pouch. Where an animal finds this distressful or an owner is unable to comply, the medication can be put on the food, e.g. half an apple or in water. Where an animal is sensitive to the odor of the alcohol preservative, a 10-20 minute period should be allowed for the alcohol to evaporate before the dose is presented to the animal. Occasionally, an animal will shake its head in response to receiving the dose.
Indications: Coughing, pollen, hay and dust allergies. Not indicated for sinus conditions, hysteria associated coughing. Care should be taken to eliminate heart or worm infestations as product can treat cough, not underlying symptom.
