Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calici-Panleukopenia-Chlamydia psittaci Vaccine
Modified Live Virus and Chlamydia
Product Description: Protex-4 is a modified live virus vaccine containing attenuated strains of feline rhinotracheitis virus calicivirus panleukopenia virus and Chlamydia psittaci grown in the Pro-Cell Stable Cell Line. Protex-4 is presented in a desiccated form with sterile diluent provided for reconstitution.
Indications: Protex-4 is for vaccination of healthy cats against disease caused by feline rhinotracheitis virus feline calicivirus feline panleukopenia and C. psittaci.
Directions for Use: Aseptically reconstitute the desiccated vaccine with the sterile diluent provided and administer 1 ml by subcutaneous route. Vaccinate healthy kittens eight weeks of age or older with two doses 3-4 weeks apart. Cats less than 12 weeks of age should be revaccinated at 3-4 week intervals until 12-16 weeks of age. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
Precautions:
1. Recommended storage temperature 35-45°F (2-7°C).
2. Shake well before use.
3. Use contents promptly once reconstituted.
4. Non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes should be used for administration of vaccine.
5. Do not vaccinate pregnant queens.
6. Administration of epinephrine may be indicated in the event of an anaphylactic reaction.
7. Contains gentamicin as a preservative.
8. Burn this container and all unused contents.
9. Only healthy animals should be vaccinated. Animals incubating any disease or animals stressed due to shipping malnutrition or parasitism may not achieve or maintain an adequate immune response.
