The Simple Solution® Pee Post encourages pets to urinate in a specific area of your yard. Helps maintain your lawn makes clean-up easier and aids in housebreaking your pet. Bright yellow plastic stake is treated with pheromones.
Directions: choose a location in your yard where you would like your pet to do his business. The area should be quiet and grassy away from your pet's food and water. Place stake in the ground approximately 4" to 5" into the ground. You might want to lead your pet to the Pee Post the first time to sniff the area. With great enthusiasm praise him when he performs. If he does not perform continue to bring him back to the Pee Post whenever you anticipate he may need "to go". Continue this process until your pet consistently urinates next to the Pee Post.
Training timeline: pets who have not established their marking patterns are the quickest to train. In most instances male dogs will instinctively mark the area and will require little training. Female dogs may need more direction and reinforcement but following the directions above even female dogs can be trained to use Pee Post within a short period of time.
Note: the pheromones used to treat the Pee Post are non-toxic. However pets should always be discouraged from eating or chewing on any type of plastic material. After extended exposure to weather conditions you will not be able to smell the pheromones on the Pee Post but your pet will due to his acute sense of smell.
