Carrier Services
Lambert Vet Supply contracts with the following carriers:
- FedEx Ground
- FedEx Express
- United States Postal Service
The purchase of the next day shipping option is limited to Standard Overnight services only, and excludes First and Priority Overnight services.
Packing and Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. Please note once a product has shipped it is considered a complete sale. Lambert Vet Supply is not responsible for misdirected or undeliverable packages.
The shipping chart listed below applies to all orders shipped within the continental United States. For orders to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO/DPO Addresses and U.S. Territories please call for current rates. At present, we are unable to ship to international addresses.
Most orders are processed within 48 hours. Orders are processed Monday through Friday excluding company-recognized holidays.
Should you decide to cancel your order after the item has shipped, shipping costs will be charged. After you refuse the shipment and we receive the product back, your credit card will be credited the original invoice total minus shipping costs. See Returning Merchandise below for more information.
Effective June 13, 2011 each order processed through LambertVetSupply.com will be subject to a $1 handling fee. This fee covers rising fuel costs and will be applied to the shopping cart upon checkout.
Prescriptions from our Pet Pharmacy
All prescription items are Non-Returnable and Non-Refundable. Prescription items can only be shipped within the 50 states. Please allow an additional business day for processing of prescription items. Additional items purchased with prescriptions will be combined for shipment.
Vaccines and other Refrigerated Products
All refrigerated products are shipped on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We cannot ship vaccines to P.O. Boxes.
Overnight orders are shipped Monday-Thursday. Orders received after 12 p.m. CST on Thursday will be shipped the following Monday.
2nd Day orders can only be shipped Monday-Wednesday. Orders taken after 12:00pm CST on Wednesday will be shipped on the following Monday.
Vaccines may be shipped on Friday for overnight delivery on Saturday, for an additional fee of $20. Please note that Saturday delivery is not available in all areas.
Vaccines are packed within a cooler, and with the necessary ice packs to ensure that your package arrives effective. There is a $4 cooler charge.
Vaccines are Non-Returnable unless shipped by Overnight or 2nd Day Service. The use of Overnight or 2 Day service is strongly encouraged for all temperature sensitive items. Orders shipped via Ground Service may take up to 10 days to deliver. Orders are owned by the purchaser upon shipment.
In most cases, the ice packs may have melted by the time your package arrives and therefore means the ice and cooler box have done their job. The vaccine may arrive slightly warm, and will not cause ineffectiveness of the vaccine. Vaccines are shipped in the same method from the manufacturers.
If temperatures are above 80 degrees, we recommend the purchase of additional ice for $1.00 per pack.
Upon receipt of your order, place them in the refrigerator and avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or freezing conditions.
Drop Shipped Items from Vendor
For items marked as drop shipped, a customer service representative will contact you to finalize your order. Shipping costs for drop ship items vary by manufacturer and/or distributors and subject to change.
Backorder Policy
Orders that contain backordered items will be split shipped, in stock items with ship and backordered items with ship as they become available.
Vaccines on Manufacturer Back Order and items less than $10.00 will not be backordered. Please plan to include these items in your next order.
Returning Merchandise / Refunds
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. A Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA") number is required for any packages returned to Lambert Vet Supply. RMA Numbers are good for 10 days and must be written on the outside of the returning package.
Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customers. All returned products must be in the same condition that they were received and in the original packaging including instruction manuals, etc.
It is recommended that you use a shipping carrier that requires a signature for proof of delivery.
All returned orders are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Any damage done to the product by the purchaser will be deducted from the return. Returns/exchanges may take up to 6 weeks for processing and credit may be issued on account.
Special Orders
Special order items are non-refundable.
