Iverhart Max chewable protects against canine heartworm disease plus treatment and control of intestinal worms; roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworm infestations
What is Iverhart Max?
Iverhart Max prevents canine heartworm disease by eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis) for a month (30 days) after infection and for the treatment and control of roundworms (ascardsi - Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma braziliense), and tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis). Tasty chewable tablet has an artificial beef flavoring made from pork liver. Provides year-long protection if given monthly. It is for dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and over
How does Iverhart Max work?
Iverhart Max chewable tablets for dogs contains three active ingredients; Ivermectin, Pyrantel Pamoate, and Praziquantel. Ivermectin paralyzes and kills immature heartworm larvae (microfilaria). Pyrantel Pamoate kills the roundworm and hookworm intestinal parasites by paralysis resulting in their loss of grip on the dog’s intestinal lining. Praziquantel kills tapeworms by dissolving tapeworm skin, their nutrient absorption source. The dead worms will pass through dog’s feces, however may not be recognizable.
