Size 8 fits Great Dane, Rottweiler, Great Pyrennees, St Bernard.
Size 9 fits Rottweiler and Mastiff.
These size recommendations may vary by dog. Your dog may be unusually large or small for it's breed.
Fitting Guide:
The point where the next strap attached to the black elastic is the bottom of the Husher. The top elastic is cut back so it won't ride up on your dog's face. Slide Husher on dog's snout. It must be a very snug fit.
A Husher that is too small is difficult to get on – use the next larger size. Too large a size won't tire out the muscles, the dog can still bark, etc. so use the next smallest.Snap collar behind neck, pull strap tight, A tight neck strap does not cause any discomfort. PULL IT TIGHT.
Give corrective command, for example. "NO BARKING" or "HUSH".
Ensure that dog can pant and drink.
Some dogs resist the Husher being put on their snout and /or attempt to remove it once it's on. Distract the dog when it shows this behavior, play with it, take it for a walk. Put the Husher on and off a few times, soon the dog will forget that it's there.
The Husher is a terrific training aid. You'll find that after a while, you won't need to use it s much- just show it to the dog or hang it where it can be seen. If you've pulled the strap VERY tight and the dog still removes the HUSHER, wrap the strap around the dog's collar before you snap the buckle, problem solved.
NEVER LEAVE A DOG UNATTENDED WITH HUSHER ON UNTIL YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT IT CAN PANT AND DRINK
